Chris is a versatile composer for television and film with credits covering a wide range of genres in factual entertainment, feature documentaries, light entertainment, natural history and natural science. Recent original scores include Hurricane Harvey Heroes (PBS America, 1x60), series 2 of Plane Resurrection (PBS America, 6x60), For Military Merit (1x100) and The Plane That Led D-Day (History, 3x60). He has also provided original music for Channel 4's hit gameshow Beat the Chef (24x30) and continues to have his music placed on programmes across the UK and the world including BBC One's Countryfile and The One Show. He recently provided the music for BBC Radio 2's Sport Relief features.
In March 2019 he released his debut album Beneath the Surface, which was named by Herald Scotland as one of their albums of the year, calling it 'engagingly cinematic'. Tracks from the album feature regularly on BBC Sounds' contemporary classical playlists and Scala Radio continue to play tracks across all of their 'mindfulness' programming. His new album Home was released in January 2021, which Classic FM described as 'an album full of gems'.
He was recently commissioned to write the original score for Decision, a new Celtic Dance production that is set to receive its World Premier at the 2022 Edinburgh International Festival.
