Chris is a versatile composer for television and film with credits covering a wide range of genres in factual entertainment, feature documentaries, light entertainment, natural history and natural science. He recently wrote the score for series 2 of BBC One's BAFTA nominated Scotland's Sacred Islands With Ben Fogle (4x60). He has also provided original music for Channel 4's hit gameshow Beat the Chef (24x30) and continues to have his music placed on programmes across the UK and the world including BBC's Countryfile; Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing; Top Gear and many more. He recently provided the music for BBC Radio 2's Sport Relief features. Chris also writes music for advertising campaigns all over the world.

 

In March 2019 he released his debut album Beneath the Surface, which was named by Herald Scotland as one of their albums of the year, calling it 'engagingly cinematic'. Tracks from the album feature regularly on BBC Sounds' contemporary classical playlists and Scala Radio continue to play tracks across all of their 'mindfulness' programming. His second album Home was released in January 2021, which Classic FM described as 'an album full of gems'.

Third album Equal was released in January 2023, with Scala Radio describing it as 'simply gorgeous'. Since its release, the album has been streamed millions of times across the world.
